The Authorized Economic Operator (AEO Certification) Program is a scheme set up and monitored by the World Customs Organization (WCO)’s, SAFE Framework of Standards for the systematization of secure and efficient trade in the global arena. An AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) is an economic actor that does international trade and whose activity requires mandatory compliance with provisions of the National Customs law and is approved by or on behalf of the national administration in compliance with Regional Economic Integration Organizations (REIOs) or equivalent supply chain security standards.
